MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

The Center for Sustainable Stewardship has big plans to grow our membership and to increase awareness for watershed protection. Starting in May, the CSS will provide talks, walks, educational experiences, organically grown vegetables, and weekend access to our beautiful watershed just 15 minutes from Franklin, TN. Our mission is simple, to promote sustainable stewardship of land and water and personal well-being through education and experiences with nature. We disconnect from our small screens, listen to the rustle of the trees, and are inspired by nature. Our planet is changing, the population is growing, and pristine watersheds are becoming rarer. We treasure the Big East Fork Valley and seek to protect it and other watersheds like it. Come join us!

Vision: To foster stewards of the land and water, create sustainable healthy lifestyles, and connection with our natural world.

Mission: To promote sustainable stewardship and community well-being through education and experiences in nature.

What we do: Our program areas are focused on environmental education, outdoor experiences in the forrest and farm, and encouraging land and water stewardship.

What makes us special:  We are a community supported non-profit nestled in the valley of Big East Fork Creek, a major tributary to the South Harpeth River. The Center for Sustainable Stewardship is located in a part of the Big East Fork Preserve and operates a small farm on several acres across the road.  We provide unique experiences for members and guests that range from farm experiences, hiking and environmental studies of the watershed to workshops promoting spiritual connections with nature.
